Early Intervention

Therapeutic or educational services provided to young children (typically birth to age 5) who have developmental delays, disabilities, or are at risk for developmental problems. Research strongly supports early intervention's effectiveness in improving long-term outcomes.
Example: Providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special education services to toddlers with autism to improve communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
