Electrodermal Activity

/electrodermal-activity/
Physiological changes in skin conductance caused by sympathetic nervous system activation, commonly used as a measure of emotional arousal, stress, or psychological engagement. Also known as galvanic skin response, it reflects sweat gland activity.
Example: Lie detector tests measure electrodermal activity, as deception often increases autonomic arousal, though this method has significant limitations and is not legally reliable.
