Systematic errors in judgment that occur when assessing people, situations, or information, often reflecting cognitive shortcuts, stereotypes, or motivational factors that distort objective evaluation and decision-making processes.
Example: A teacher consistently rating students from certain ethnic backgrounds as less capable due to unconscious stereotypes, despite similar academic performance across groups.
