Experimental Group

In research design, the group of participants who receive the experimental treatment or manipulation being studied, as contrasted with the control group that does not receive the treatment. Comparing these groups allows researchers to determine treatment effects.
Example: In a study of meditation's effects on stress, the experimental group practices daily meditation while the control group continues normal activities, allowing comparison of stress levels.
