Exposure Hierarchy

A systematic ranking of feared situations or stimuli from least to most anxiety-provoking, used in exposure therapy to guide gradual confrontation with fears in a manageable progression from easier to more challenging exposures.
Example: For social anxiety: starting with saying hello to a cashier, progressing to small group conversations, and culminating in giving a public presentation.
