Feedback Loop

/feedback-loop/
A system where outputs are fed back as inputs, creating either reinforcing (positive) or balancing (negative) cycles that can amplify or stabilize behavior patterns, emotions, or cognitive processes over time.
Example: Depression creating a negative feedback loop where low mood leads to social withdrawal, which increases loneliness and worsens depression, perpetuating the cycle of negative emotions and isolation.
