In perception, the process by which separate sensory inputs are combined into unified experiences, such as binocular fusion creating three-dimensional vision from two slightly different retinal images.
Example: The brain combining slightly different images from each eye to create depth perception, or integrating visual and auditory information to create unified perceptions of events.
