Hypnagogic Hallucinations

Vivid, often frightening perceptual experiences that occur during the transition from wakefulness to sleep, common in narcolepsy but also in healthy individuals.
Example: Seeing, hearing, or feeling things that aren't there while falling asleep, such as hearing voices, seeing figures, or feeling presence of others in the room.
