The psychological phenomenon of feeling unfamiliar with a situation that should be familiar, opposite of déjà vu, sometimes associated with neurological conditions.
Example: Suddenly feeling like one's own home or familiar places seem strange and unfamiliar, or not recognizing words that are actually well-known.
