Factor Loading

/factor-loading/
In factor analysis, the correlation coefficient between an observed variable and an underlying factor, indicating how strongly the variable is associated with and explained by that particular factor.
Example: In personality research, questionnaire items about sociability, talkativeness, and energy might all have high factor loadings (above 0.7) on an extraversion factor, indicating they measure the same underlying trait.
